after a long blog holiday...
dylan already pass 2yrs old. he is already almost 25mths old!
in another 15 days, dylan will be taking his first flight in his entire life. we'll going to Bangkok!
i was actually afraid of this "terrible 2" stage, but so far it seems ok. or maybe its too early to say? anyway here's to update on dylan's latest developement.
people say he is a genius. honestly mummy is afraid of it. can u imagine, everyday i got to think of new things to overthrow his genius ideas? thats very tiring. anyway here's my list:
1. respond when we call him, and able to call ppl respectively.
2. on and off tv and fan, esp when its gai gai time.
3. kick a ball properly.
4. dance to different music with different dancing style.
5. hum twinkle twinkle little stars.
6. take off his pants.
7. wear slip on shoes and walk with it.
8. on the com, open his personal folder, play his games/music.
9. tells u wat he wans to play. eg. kick ball, fighting etc.
10. choose wat kind of transport he wans to take.
11. regconise dogs and cats in all sorts of form and even by the sound.
12. stack up blocks/legos.
13. play golf. (but of cos is anyhow hit.
14. can do line dance (1step forward, 1step back, turn around.
15. can control the mouse properly up to 80% accuracy.
16. remembers wat time grandpa is suppose to come home.
17. wans to video call grandpa.
18. can imitate ppl very well, actions and words, like a parrot.
19. knows wat is his and not his, wont touch things that is not his.
20. can regconise grandpa's car anywhere.
21. knows how to trick ppl. eg, pretend to give u a sweet.
22. can make funny face with his hands and expressions.
23. run very well and holds ur hand when necessary.
24. close the gate at the stairs when someone forgets to.
25. can feed himself, accuracy up to 60%.
26. drink from straw of all sizes and a cup with a couple of drips.
27. eat almost everything even curry.
28. will ask someone to buy him food he feels like eating. eg, bread.
29. only eat la mian and xiao long bao from crystal jade.
30. he knows to limit his own sweets and soft drinks intake. (he will say no to it!)
31. have the strength to hold on the bars in the mrt himself.
32. he knows when daddy is not home, is a good time to bully mummy.
33. when he says "orh orh"(sleep), he means it big time. nothing can catch even 1% of his attention.
34. choose the clothes he wans to wear.
35. throw rubbish into the correct bins. (at home only)
36. sees the floor dirty, will take the floor wiper to clean himself.
37. when he sees part of his car spoilt, he'll throw it away.
38. will hug and kiss mummy when he feels like it.
39. knows lights out means time to sleep.
40. will ask for milk/food when he is hungry.
41. doesn't anyhow talk to/follow/accept things from strangers.
42. will share his good stuff with everyone and see us happy.
43. knows and wans to take photos/videos. (accuracy 20%, very unsteady)
i think thats all i can think of now. but i know there's much more to it! got to go attend to my little genius already! poor thing, on his computer himself, on Hi-5, sit on the chair and have been watching since about 1 hr ago. will definitely come back to add on photos, dylan's first video, taken by himself, and many more updates on his little adventures!PigLeT.Wonder.Land 1:07 PM

guess who's back... ...
yes! finally i'm free to blog. hehe.
today 16/12/2006, Dylan is already 1yr 4mths and 3days old! he has really grown so much... here's a quick update.
Aug: He managed to wobble around at 11.5mths old, or rather 1 week before he turns 1.
Sep: He can walk very well and is starting to learn to run. and mummy is to busy to spend time with him
Oct: He starts to get noisy with all the baby talk! everyday there's also funny stuff that he does to make evreyone laugh.
Nov: He can say "ish", "duck", "ya", "daddy", "mama", "oh o", "shit" and many more.
Dylan has really progressed so much within a few mths. just last monday, he went for his 1-2yrs MMR last jab. My poor darling cried... for 10sec... haha. He is also getting a lot smarter. Nowadays he loves to go out. He would take his shoes and sit near the door, shouting for someone to help him wear his shoes for him and bring him out. haha. But it kinda gets a big headache cos he doesn't wanna stay at home, always wanting to go out and "scold" the sky for raining. haha. Grandma always tell Dylan, "Oh! its raining already, no more gai-gai" and Dylan would reply pointing out the window, "ah ja ja ya ja bu bu ja... ... " his alien language.
Almost forgot a very very interesting thing. There was a week whereby in the vicinity, there was lots of pasa malam. 1 night, daddy, mummy and uncle nic brought Dylan out to walk in the pasa malam. Before leaving home, Grandma gave Dylan $2 which he generously let mummy keep it. We stop by a stall selling the 'tu-tu kueh' as mummy wanted get some to eat. Dylan noticed the picture and he pointed at it and made noise. the aunty then ask if he wanted it. Dylan nodded his head. Then the aunty asked him again, "where's your money?", he pointed at mummy. haha. i took out his $2 and gave it to him. He happily gave the money to the aunty and waited for him food. haha. My baby has learned to buy things.

a horrible monster is emerging...
ya, that monster is dylan. haha. now that he is so much older, he knows a lot of things. i believe he can even understand us now. just last thu night, he wans to eat his pacifier. so i hold it in front of him to make grab it and put into his mouth. he didn't wan to hold it, even when i put it in his hand, he just shake it off. so poor baby cried and screamed for about 5mins when he went to bang himself on to the side of the playpen and cut his gums. by now mummy have no choice but to give in.
nowadays he wans things to be his way. watever he wans he gotta get it. i guess thats a passing phrase in life. i only hope he'll be better when he is older but from wat i heard, 2 will equals to the terror-2 or trouble-2. which means 2year old are like monsters. haha. so i guess dylan gotta starting growing more meat on his butt so spanking wun hurt so much. haha.

after another 12days
my baby is already 11mth 6day old!!! soon he'll be 1year old!!! within this 12days, he learnt to clap his hands. all u have to do is say "pai pai shuo" and he'll do it for u to see, but only provided if he is in a good mood. haha. dylan really learnt so much in the pass 11mths. first he started off with wriggling his toes and fingers to a simple sound like "ah, da, eh". no he can even call his uncle alex. haha. he'll shout "a yak" something like that. but it's still not known if he know that is his uncle's name or like a "hey" to us.
a few days ago, dylan tries something very exciting. the staircase in my house and to the dinning tabble is abt 2feet away. grandma was sitting at the dining table watching him while mummy was on the staircase watching him. while dylan was holding on to the gate which was blocking the staircase, he suddenly let go his hand and walked a few steps when mummy shuoted "look, dylan can walk on his own!" baby dylan stopped to look at mummy before he squat down and sit, as usual. haha. so far haven seen his 2nd attempt! how exciting! one day i believe when i come home from work, dylan will be walking towards me with a great big smile and then hug me. i'm waiting... ... ... waiting for this day to come... nong nong ago... ... ...
... ... dylan had learnt to say "mum mum" and "nei nei" for "food" and "milk". not really that nong ago. haha. it was like a mth ago? cant remember.
nong nong ago... : 1 of singapore idol contestant sang it this way. really! got subtitles one. haha!
dylan is now so typically lazy like his mummy! haha. that day grandma gave dylan 3 choices, milk, water and pacifier. when grandma show him milk, dylan waved his hand "no". he did the same thing when grandma showed him water. and when grandma showed him pacifier, he shaked happily and open his mouth wide. but grandma wanted him to put it into his mouth himself. and guess wat, he screamed and waved his hand "no". haha. he wans the pacifier to be put into his mouth by us and not himself.so lazy right. even till now, he cant hold his bottle or rather he knows how to but just lazy to. sometimes when he is in a good mood he will hold the bottle but once he is tired, he wans u to hold it for him. hopefully he wun be lidat for long. actually he is real smart cos he knows that we'll never let him be. so baby does know that their being very pampered and spoilt by their parents and grands.
anyway dylan now knows how to respond a "no" by waving his hands, bye bye also by waving and opening and closing his fingers. there's lots more that he knows now but lazy to show. if only i have mre time to spend with him. 1 more week and he is 11 months and then soon 1 years old, 2 years old, 5 years old, 10 years old, 16 years old and then *puff* an adult with his family... ...

*getting rid of spider webs*
haha. it's been so long. mummy is so busy with work and only has 1 off day per week. the special off day would spend wisely on litte baby dylan!
darling baby dylan is already 10.5 months. he can crawl very well everywhere. his favourite part of the house is definitely the staircase. (fyi, we're living in a masionette.) now he can alsmot walk on his own but the little baby seems to be afraid of falling, so he always prefer to have a bit of a support. nowadays he is also yakking a lot. just now, i think he mumbled "ke yi" which means "can" in chinese. grandma was asking dylan if he could step down the weighing scale on his own and he shout out loud "ke yi!" when his little feet touched the floor. amazing right!
anyway now mummy is already beginning to actually plan for dylan's 1st birthday!!! and its really a big time party bash. haha. sounds fun right? but nah! is just a simple 1 yr old party with lots of people who the birthday boy hardly knows.
hopefully i'll have time for this soon!!!

babies on the go...
last sat, mummy brought darling dylan to meet up with jerald didi (again!!!) and devon meimei. tiko dylan enjoyed "eating" devon's "tofu". haha. ask him to hug her, he'll look at u with a huge huge smile till his eyes become 2 lines. this time, we tried letting the boys hug again and guess wat, dylan actually got upset! so tiko right. haha. hug girl can but not boy.
anyway we went to paragon and had lots of fun there. esp at toys r us. haha. there was a little tikes see-saw, and it juz nice was a 3 sitter. so the 3 babies enjoyed see-sawing. they even played the slide and swing. the best part is when daddy sat dylan into the little buggy. its like a car, but in a shape of a ladybug??? not sure wat bug was it but its red in colour. daddy happily push dylan all around toys r us in it. as if it was ours but i so wished it was. when jerald sat in a tricycle, dylan wanted to be the "big brother" and push him in it. cute right! baby push baby.
fyi, dylan CAN crawl already!!! but not very good at it yet. his walking skills also not very good. but he is now best in pestering ppl by adding on to the noise pollution. he makes lots and lots of noise wherever he goes.
back to the paragon story... when we were abt to go home, we wanted to sat the babies down in a merry-go-round and it was juz nice again for 3. cuite devon juz sat there while jerald joined in only after a while. poor little dylan was too scare to sit. he grabbed on so tightly to mummy's shirt. perhaps another time.
my precious baby has grown so much and is already coming 1year old. time really flies. i'll definitely miss him as a baby but i'll still enjoy his toddler years when he starts calling "mummy". and hopefully i can enjoy all his "fun". PigLeT.Wonder.Land 12:01 AM
